
Even though I am not Irish, St. Patrick's Day always hold a special place in my heart. It is the anniversary of my engagement. It was 21 years ago today that Phil placed the ring on my finger. This is what we will be sipping tonight to celebrate.
Authentic Irish Coffee
2 tsp. brown sugar
1 oz. Irish whiskey
6 oz. hot brewed coffee
whipped cream, preferable homemade
In a warmed mug, dissolve the brown sugar in whiskey. Add coffee and stir. Place a few dollops of whipped cream over the top.
